As we continue to spend time with our families during the holiday season, there is one unforgettable Black family sitcom that we had to feature for the month of December. The Cosby Show.

Our team went back and forth with making this decision but we had to keep our main goal in mind and featuring a show that has been influential and inspirational to our culture is the goal. Despite the controversy, the Cosby Show historically is one of the most important shows that has ever been on the air for Black people. Seeing a successful Black married couple raising a family on television was HUGE and that alone is something that we should always remember. In one single episode, you may have learned how to communicate effectively with your partner, how to "gentle parent" before we even knew what gentle parenting was, heard a jazz song that we fell in love with and even got to see a special guest celebrity that was influential to the Black culture. The Cosby Show was the epitome of Black History!
